Shift: 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM

Overview:
Join a dedicated team in a bustling Emergency Department (ED) that sees over 100,000 patient visits annually. As an Emergency Department Nurse, you will be at the forefront of patient care in a fast-paced environment renowned for its exceptional clinical quality and patient safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Ensure compliance with protocols, policies, and procedures relevant to emergency care.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, demonstrating strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Perform assessments, administer medications, and manage patient documentation using the Cerner system.
- Maintain a patient-focused environment that prioritizes respect and improved patient experiences.
- Participate in patient education, ensuring that patients understand their treatment plans.
- Utilize advanced technical skills and knowledge relevant to emergency nursing.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting.
- Experience in a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center is highly preferred.
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (must be obtained before starting date), ENPC within 90 days of hire.
- Strong ability to work in all areas of the ED, including high patient volume and behavioral health holds.
- Flexibility in scheduling, with a commitment to working every other weekend.

Unit Specifics:
- 101 beds with a patient ratio typically of 4:1 (up to 7:1 for behavioral holds).
- Staffing includes techs, unit clerks, and specialized support roles.
- Commitment to continual improvement and excellence in patient care.

Dress Code:
- Navy scrubs required.
