Job Description:

As an RN, you will play a vital role in patient care, ensuring that nursing care plans are accurately followed and improved upon.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Conduct thorough nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, using standardized criteria to create individualized care plans.
- Collaboration: Work with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to identify teaching needs and set achievable health goals.
- Documentation: Ensure accurate, timely documentation of all nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses in compliance with established policies.
- Patient Rehabilitation: Actively participate in the implementation of patient rehabilitation programs, providing direct patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Discharge Planning: Initiate patient discharge planning from day one of admission and begin patient education to facilitate smooth transitions.
- Communication: Maintain open lines of communication regarding patient status changes with all relevant care providers to support continuity and safety in patient care.
- Supervision and Training: Provide guidance and training to ancillary nursing personnel, utilizing effective problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Safety and Compliance: Promote a safe work environment through adherence to safety policies and procedures and by proactively identifying and addressing potential hazards.
- Professional Development: Take initiative in your professional growth, seeking out opportunities for continued education and skill enhancement.
- Team Contribution: Foster a positive and efficient workplace by collaborating with colleagues to enhance unit functioning and patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Current nursing license as an RN.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required prior to first shift.
- Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience; experience in PCU or critical care is highly desired.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
